Love the ads, Sanjay!

My mom owned a Volkswagen Beetle when I was in school and everytime we drove past groups of children they would call out "Hey Love Bug" Do you remember those "Herbie The Love Bug" movies? :)

lol@the Danish ads! The bee looks mighty pleased with himself! :) I guess ads like these would be met with outrage here in North America? I dunno, just asking.

@Aditi. Thanks. Sadly enough there is not much to cheer about but I figure this can't hurt.

@Lotus. Good morning. Thank you, glad you loved the ads.

How neat that your mom owned a Volkswagen Beetle!
And given those days when most cars were either the totally plain Ambassador/Premier Fiat, I can see how much the beetle must have stood out. What color was it if I may ask?

Yes I do remember the "Herbie The Love Bug" movies, I think I even saw one. Kind of silly but fun.

:-) @ Bee looking pleased, frankly I would too, if I was the bee :). You may be right about ads like these not going down too well here. But who knows maybe they do appear in niche publications? But frankly I doubt it, I wish we here were a bit laid back about things like these, instead I see more of a "holier than thou" approach.

I don't claim to speak for most Americans and I am not even what you would call a "typical" American, if you know what I mean? :-) Have a good Thursday ahead.

Hi again Sanjay!

When we bought the Beetle (used, of course) it was white, but my mom had it painted an olive green!

I think European ads are always more fun to watch because they push the boundaries whether it's with humor, sex or politics, also, they are not afraid to poke fun at themselves.

@Ash/id it is/beenzzz/ml..Thanks

Lotus thank you for responding back.
Olive green is surely more interesting that white.

You said it about the Eurpoeans! They are that and are not as puritanical as folks here, I guess.

Awesome ads. The VW ads are really out of the world. How do you regularly unearth such nice ads?

Are you in a media agency?

VWs are too compact. The Axe spray ads on tv these days are downright pathetic.
