This just cracked me up!

Credit unknown, copied shamelessly from Hoffmania

Typical GOP logic, given the dearth of ideas, do they really think that just cuz McCain has a woman on the ticket (who is anti-abortion and has ethical issues) that women will vote for him?
That is pretty patronizing, but not a surprise coming from a party mostly dominated by white men who want the right to tell women what they can do with their bodies.

The above picture seems apt considering that McCain who is 72, is 23 years older than the state of Alaska(Sarah Pallin comes from there. It became a state in 1959).

Hey Sanjay!

I can always count on you to bring a smile to my face! I have to admit McCain has really gambled on this one...would love to see how it plays out. Palin will get the vote of some women for sure, but surely they can't be so naive as to think they can coax Hilary supporters to vote for her just because she's a's not a one-size-fits-all kinda situation.

Hope you're having a lovely long weekend?

Thank you my friend for stopping by. Glad this made you smile.
McCain has made a cynical ploy, apparently Palin has not been well vetted by the campaign. She has ethical issues as well (she tried to fire her bro in law who is a state trooper and is in a messy divorce with her sister).
I hope you are having a good weekend, mine has been quite a washout, not been well.

Hi are you doing.this pic made me smile too.I just cannot imagine that he picked palin,I really don't think the hillary voters are so dumb that they are just going to move over because McCain picked a woman.I hope Obama wins.

Hey Starry, Thanks for stopping by. I agree with you. McCain thinks women as dumb, which explains his cynical pick.

Being a woman isnt enough...there's got to be some SUBSTANCE too.

This is great! Unfortunately I have heard that some former Hillary supporters actually fell for it. What a mess.

Oh and I like the new blog look. ; )

Hey Keshi. Thanks. Busy times. :) How have you been?

@Anali, Thank you for stopping by. How are you? It is sad that Hillary supporters (some) might fall for this line. But picking Palin and the cheering for her that we see in some quarters says something about some Americans too no?

:) @ blog look. It was accidental, was playing around, deleted a whole lot of stuff. Now I think I like the bare look.

That picture cracked me up!

Pallin and all that she stands for is a FAR cry from Hilary, and women know that. She doesn't stand a chance of stepping into Hilary's shoes!

Hey Sanjay:

Hope you are well! Your blog is always so interesting and humorous.

I must confess that I watched the Republican Convention (parts of it) and I must say that if they think that Hillary supporters are going to vote for Palin just because she is a woman......then they are exactly what we all think are.... sexist white men who before anything need to get a clue!
However women who were Hillary supporters and who have fallen for Palin based on gender are equally clueless and I really feel sorry for such voters.
